Siding & Exterior Repair
Dry rot is the Portland tax. Nine winters out of ten the siding was not the original problem, the flashing or the gutter above it was, and replacing boards without correcting that just buys a couple of years.
What is included
- Dry rot repair, the most common Portland inspection item
- Cedar, lap, T1-11 and fiber cement repair and replacement
- Trim, fascia and soffit repair
- Flashing and gutter corrections so the rot does not come back
- Spot repairs matched to existing siding where a full wall is not needed
Siding & Exterior Repair: questions we get
Can you patch siding instead of replacing a whole wall?
Usually, and on a listing that is normally the right call. Matching profile and paint on a spot repair is its own skill, so we will be straight with you about when a patch is going to be visible in the photos.
How do you know the rot is not worse behind the siding?
We do not until we open it up. We price exploratory work separately and call you before going further, so you never get surprised by the invoice.
